VIDEA: Women in Business

LFA has partnered with the Vancouver Island Development Education Association (VIDEA) along with Funding in partnership with the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), this is a two-year community development initiative focusing on sustainable, community-led income generation initiatives in the districts of Lundazi and Chipata in the Eastern Province of Zambia. The objectives of the project are threefold: to support income generating projects designed to stabilize and broaden sources of community income with a view to improving resilience to shock. Businesses include community gardening, animal husbandry, seed marketing and craft production; to improve land use practices to improve food security and environmental sustainability, and; to improved access for women to skills development, micro-credit, business mentoring and markets.

The Lundin for Africa Foundation is a Canadian registered charity and has a more limited mandate than Lundin for Africa Society. The Lundin for Africa Foundation only grants to other Canadian registered charities (or "qualified donees" as that term as defined in the Income Tax Act (Canada)

The Lundin for Africa Foundation is a Canadian registered charity and has a more limited mandate than the Lundin for Africa Society. The Foundation provides project-based grants to registered Canadian registered charities operating in Africa (or "qualified donees" as that term as defined in the Income Tax Act (Canada)).

The Society is a Canadian not-for-profit organization that funds projects in Africa through a mixture of grants and impact investments.
