HOPE International: Integrated Community Development
The project area in the northwest part of the country was devastated during the 2000-2002 conflict and stands as the poorest province in the country. This two-year integrated community development project is designed to improve food security and incomes and is premised on five central components: animal raising; agriculture; aquaculture; agro-forestry, and; spring capping. The project will also build the region's capacity to nourish its population in the future by building local capacity through the creation of village-level associations and regional development centres that will become sustainable sources of agricultural inputs and technical expertise in the future.
