BDA Foundation: Medicinal Plant Cultivation

The Biotechnology for Sustainable Development in Africa ("BDA") is a non-profit organization whose mission is to support scientific cooperation with local African communities by establishing training programs, providing technical assistance, and initiating biotechnology projects related to the sustainable development of African medicinal plants. BDA is committed to the eradication of poverty through strategies and initiatives built upon environmentally sound and sustainable management of resources.

The Lundin for Africa Society will provide financial support to the execution of the projects implemented by BDA in the Democratic Republic of Congo, including educational programs in biotechnology and medicinal plant cultivation, training in good agricultural practices and an entrepreneurial fund for agro enterprises.

This project falls under the auspices of the Lundin for Africa Society, a Canadian not-for-profit organization that funds projects worldwide, with the goal of implementing sustainable community development programs in Africa.
