PLAN: Adolf H Lundin Water ProjectLFA is working in partnership with PLAN (Foster Parents Plan) to give 3,000 families (approximately 18,000 residents) access to safe water by connecting six villages to a water station near the Nile River. Farmers will also benefit from increased access to water for livestock and agricultural production - improving yield, livelihood opportunities and food security. Children will be relieved from arduous journeys to collect water, freeing them for other activities such as school. Most importantly, the prevalence of waterborne diseases will be reduced -- improving health and saving young lives. The Lundin for Africa Foundation is a Canadian registered charity and has a more limited mandate than Lundin for Africa Society. The Lundin for Africa Foundation is a Canadian registered charity and has a more limited mandate than the Lundin for Africa Society. The Foundation provides project-based grants to registered Canadian registered charities operating in Africa (or "qualified donees" as that term as defined in the Income Tax Act (Canada)).
The Society is a Canadian not-for-profit organization that funds projects in Africa through a mixture of grants and impact investments. |
